INTRODUCTION PROGRAM :
The worldwide function of physiotherapists has changed from disease management to promoting prosperity and societal well-being. Additionally, physiotherapists who want to work in academia, research, or renovation must get a master’s degree. This graduate degree with specialisation will help them hone their knowledge and skills in controlling diseases and enhancing community health. The curriculum will include courses in motor control, pain management, and courses unique to the specialty selected, such as Advanced Musculoskeletal Assessment and Management or Advanced Neurological Assessment and Management given by industry experts.
Our curriculum, which is specifically created for physiotherapists, is ideal for physiotherapists who are keen to acquire a critical awareness of the major challenges within the field of physiotherapy.
The necessary groundwork for physiotherapy practise should have been established through the undergraduate coursework, clinical placement, and work experience. With the most recent research and best practises in clinical care, this programme will test every clinical practise in every setting. Course Description:
Your skills will be improved by the UoC Master of Physiotherapy program’s Advanced Musculoskeletal or Neurology specialisation. The Masters programme is designed with working professionals in mind and is offered as a 1.5-year full-time programme or a 3-year part-time programme. The course offers cutting-edge instruction and practical experience from top experts, followed by specialised clinical postings under the supervision of specialists and the research presentation of the student’s choice and interest.With a Master’s qualification in Physiotherapy, physiotherapists can be employed as physiotherapy managers in health-related centres, public and private hospitals, consultant physiotherapists, academicians at universities/colleges and research officers.
Course Training and Practical:
8 weeks of clinical posting in the student’s area of specialisation in different Ministry of Health hospitals and specialised physiotherapy hospitals and clinics.
SUMMARISED ENTRY REQUIREMENTS :
▶️ A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.50 in related field, recognised by the Malaysian governement, and accepted by the University.
OR
▶️ A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field with CGPA of less than 2.50 and a minimum of 5 years working experience in the related field.
OR
▶️ Other relevant or equivalent qualification
Other relevant or equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian governement, and accepted by the University.
