Are you passionate about the influence of a nutritious diet on overall health and well-being? Our dietetics programme is your entryway to becoming a certified dietitian, arming you with the necessary knowledge and skills to positively affect individuals’ health.

UoC’s Dietetics programme offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to provide graduates with knowledge and experience in areas such as medical nutrition therapy, basic medical sciences, nutrition and food science, as well as equipping the students with clinical and research skills.

Our dietetics programme stresses the importance of real-world application. It offers hands-on experience, effectively narrowing the gap between academic learning and professional practice. Students will have the chance to collaborate with healthcare professionals in clinical environments, engage with various populations, and hone communication and counselling abilities that enable people to adopt healthier lifestyle choices.

Course Description:

The Bachelor of Dietetics is a four-year programme that covers a broad spectrum of knowledge essential for dietetics practice. The course equips students with a deep understanding of diet and nutrition, with a special focus on medical nutrition therapy (MNT).

SUMMARISED ENTRY REQUIREMENTS : 

▶️ Pre-University or STPM
Overall CGPA 2.50 with minimum GPA 2.33 in TWO of the following subjects:

• Biology
• Physics/Mathematics
• Chemistry

OR

▶️ A-Level
Minimum Grade C+ in TWO of the following subjects:

• Biology
• Physics/Mathematics
• Chemistry

OR

▶️ Diploma
Minimum CGPA of 2.75 in a related field OR recognised Diploma with CGPA less than 2.75 in related field and a minimum of 3 years (36 months) working experience in the related field.

or any other relevant qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government acceptable to the University.
